If you ask
Kim Daus whether she is in business or ministry, she will answer,
"Yes!" A Fuller Seminary graduate, she has also worked in high tech
companies for twenty years. After years of undercover work for the
kingdom in businesses, she has recently been more overt about her
passion to integrate faith, work, family, and ministry. She currently
serves as Chief Transformational Officer for equip, an organization
that equips believers to transform society through business.
As a
business executive, Kim led the communications and marketing efforts of
several Silicon Valley companies, most recently as director of
Organizational Learning and HR Communication at Intuit. A former
newspaper and magazine publisher, Kim has also managed worldwide
intranet operations and communication strategies, designed innovative
learning strategies, and created virtual communities in various
capacities with a variety of Fortune 500 companies in Silicon Valley,
San Francisco, and Denver, Colorado. Whether designing communication or
Web strategies that engage people's heart and invigorate a company, or
creating new ways to learn that inspire peak performance, she is
passionate about the convergence of business, community, media, and
spirit.
Kim has
published three books, and speaks internationally on topics of business
communications, intranet strategies, and building community. She also
preaches or speaks at churches, seminaries, and conferences exploring
marketplace ministry and transformation. One of the more innovative
presentations she gives uses black and white photography and a process
she pioneered called "Visual Exegesis" to introduce people to Scripture
or take them deeper into it.
She
completed her Masters Degree in Theology and Ethics at Fuller Seminary
in 2003, and plans to continue doctorate work in Marketplace Ministry.
She currently serves as chair of the board of advisors of Fuller
Northern California.
Kim says her
life's work is all about creating authentic connections and blending
different spheres of life in her quest to know Jesus more intimately.
She relaxes
when she reads, gardens, and takes photographs, though since having two
boys, her favorite past-time is chasing after her sons. She
and her husband live in Sausalito, California with their two sons, the
newest members of their ministry team.
